We stayed here on July 1, 2016. It used to be a Comfort Inn and had recently been renovated they said. It had began to show its age a little, but not near as bad as the Super 8.
Overall, we weren’t planning to stay here, but Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, TownePlace, and Courtyard were all booked. We would definitely stay here again if all the other good hotels are booked, because it is MUCH BETTER than the old “Comfort” Inn.
The room was good, and there weren’t any bugs in our room (the room next door had an infestation). Beds were also good too. We had a broken towel hanger in the bathroom though, as well as a broken lamp.
Stayed here 2 years ago and it was not so good, but they have really fixed the place up and made it much nicer. Rooms are clean and up to date. The parking lot is well lit at at night. I will stay here in the future. Convenient to the university as well.
Breakfast was good, like most hotels in the Choice Hotels brand. It consisted of waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, toast, grits, fruit, bagels, yogurt, and muffins (I think there was a pancake machine too, but we didn’t see it). We liked the selections for breakfast.
Location is right off the main road in Oxford and easy to get to, the rooms were clean and service is great. Breakfast is trash though.
Not impressive from the outside, but the lobby and rooms are completely renovated and I was pleasantly surprised. Also the bed was awesome. It was very comfortable. Also, the girls at the front desk were welcoming and super friendly. My stay was 5 stars!
We put worker's at this hotel for several weeks booking through Expedia. One worker needed to leave a day early to attend a project meeting in AL. They have refused to refund one night despite the money that had been spent and more importantly, the money that would have been spent as we will be on the project in Oxford for several more months. Michelle had a snotty tone and stated it was their policy. We will not be spending any more money here. Decent customer service where we would have spent thousands is our policy!
