Been using these guys for 20+years now. Purchased and serviced quite a few bikes from them and they are basically awesome!
First, let me remind everyone who reads this that some people are simply never pleased. I don't know if they are just used to everybody waiting on them hand and foot their entire lives or what, but there are a lot of people in Oxford who I feel think this way.
OBC has been my go to shop for over 20 years. Staff has always gone above and beyond to assist me. They have a love for cycling that goes beyond the store and a sale. I have seen these guys donate time, goods, and sweat to push cycling to the surrounding community. Prices are always competitive and service knowledge is top shelf. Oxford Bicycle Company has been around for 25 + years ! Awesome to have a shop that will be there for the long haul. Great bunch of guys!
I was especially surprised to read these awful reviews as the guys at the bike shop have never been anything other than incredibly helpful and responsive in my experience; ordering whatever it was I wanted ordered, repairing my bike in a timely fashion and being particularly friendly. I have never had to wait to get my bike fixed and I even feel that if they know I have an event coming up, they take the extra time to fix my bike so I can make my scheduled ride on time, which I think is very kind, since Im a little obsessive about my rides! I really appreciate the sound advice they give. I would never dream of taking my bike anywhere else and I do recommend them to all of my friends.
So my honest opinion is that this is a good bike shop to do business with. About me; I am an avid cyclist. I have loved riding the area's Clear Creek and Thacker Mountain trail systems. Whether I need a part, advice, maintenance, or just want to covertly talk "shop" about bike stuff this is a good place to do it.
During the last 15 months I have personally visited the store over a dozen times for reasons ranging from picking up new cables and housing to having my wheels trued before a race. Over the course of these visits my experience have ranged from getting great recommendations and service when I needed it to cutting straight to business with no small talk necessary.

Second, OBC is a good business. They specialize in, well, Specialized products which I happen to really like. Whoever said something about the quality of their products obviously doesn't know much about bikes. Also, keep in mind that, with everything in life, you get what you pay for. That being said if you buy something cheap from them it's going to perform cheaply. Please remember, these guys are not Wal-Mart, they have to stay in business so support your local bike shop (LBS).
Wes and the rest of the crew at OBC have gone above and beyond my expectations during the process of buying my fiance' her first nicer bike. They were happy to help us with even the most novice of questions and never once made us feel out of place among their combined years of experience. I will certainly be using them for service and accessories in the future and will not hesitate to let anyone else know that this should be your first choice if you are in the market.
